Jarle Bernhoft - "C'mon Talk"
This was a recommendation from my lovely man-friend. And he was right, I really dig it. Looping can easily become repetitive and formulaic, as the one-man-band complex can lead to laying down everything and just letting it loop. "C'mon Talk" is quite simply a well-crafted pop song - Bernhoft plays with the song's dynamic, building up layers and stripping them back, and creating variety with harmonies and beat-boxing.
Heaps of soul, a bit Bruno Mars, but very distinct all the same.
